Microsoft’s Office 365 and Dynamics 365 productivity suites are getting an overhaul, and Microsoft will be opening its cloud-based platform to developers soon.
The company will be making the new tools available on a subscription model and developers can expect to see them in the coming weeks.
Microsoft says the software suite will be open to all developers in the fall of 2020, but developers can start to build on it now.
Developers can sign up for the new suite right now.
It’s free, and you can sign in on Microsoft’s website.
Microsoft said in a blog post that it will also be making some changes to how Office 365 is run for developers, including a new app called the Visual Studio Developer Tools for Developers.
Microsoft is also planning to offer a new Microsoft Teams subscription, which will allow developers to collaborate with one another.
That will be a nice way for developers to stay connected and work together.
Microsoft’s new suite will also bring a new API for developers that will let them build on the existing features of Office 365 without having to create a new version of Office.
