The New Zealand Government has confirmed it is working on a camera app that will allow iPhone owners to capture live video from their mobile phones.
The new video-capturing app, called NZXT Camera, will be launched on the iPhone App Store on October 6.
NZXT is an Australian-based company that develops high-end smartphones and video cameras, and is the company behind the NZX and NZXT Series cameras.
It was acquired by Apple in December.
Apple confirmed to News.au that the NZxt app will allow the iPhone users to capture footage and video, but it did not provide a time or price.
“It will not be a commercial offering,” said Apple.
“The app will be completely free to download and use.”
Apple has also confirmed it will not sell the app, saying it was for “educational and community purposes”.
NZX and the NZx Series cameras are made by NZXT, but the two are sold under different brands.
Last year, Apple announced a partnership with a UK camera company to produce the NZXX series cameras, which are made in partnership with Samsung.
Samsung has also partnered with NZXT to produce a series of cameras for the Samsung Galaxy S5, S6 and S6 Edge.
This means that Apple has partnered with Samsung to produce cameras for both the Galaxy S6, S7 and S7 Edge.
